Midsummer Sweden

Postcard From Sweden
Midsummer Eve

Sans sunset day
Then twilight until dawn
Another summer solstice
Endless clock of seasons
Twenty-four hours when animals can talk
And humans dream of lovers
Dress the maypole
Join in celebration
Peace and love
At gatherings of thousands
Rock & roll and heavy metal bands
Ecstatic teens at large
Will dance until the music merges with the mist
At morning break.
