Observing Sweden – Easter

Kids

Part of Easter here is much like Halloween in the States. People dress up in costume. I was so surprised when two youngsters showed up at our door and gave us a little hand made card that said ‘Happy Easter’ and had their names on the back. Really nice!

They’re very big on eggs and chickens on this holiday – and workers get four days off!

I love their chicken and bunny costumes and the colored handprint Easter hen. What a fun surprise that must have been to see them at your door.
Easter is going to be warm and sunny in the Seattle area, nearly 70 degrees with people heading for church, children scampering across newly mown lawns hunting Easter eggs, and grownups wearing short sleeves and shorts. All this, probably until a bit later in the week, when the rain may return again.

We had a hot Easter. Eggs and bunnies melting before we could unwrap them – not a pretty sight. Your Easter sounds delightful 🙂

How very interesting! This is probably just the beginning of new and different trends. Hope all is well with you. I have missed many posts but will get semi-caught up one of these days. Hope you had a wonderfully blessed Easter 🙂 How are Buckster and Amber? Foxie and Boots send purrs…purr-r-r-r-r-r!
